Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome
you as a member of our family. If you have not already filled out the
forms from the web site, we will request that you complete our patient
forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on
your condition.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. David
Pearson to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential
treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Pearson to learn more
about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic
care can meet your goals.
After taking a complete case history to review
important aspects of your health, a thorough examination will be conducted.
You will be asked to turn and bend, your posture will be checked, your reflexes
and muscle strength will be tested, and other orthopedic and neurological tests
maybe performed. These tests are designed to show any areas of your spine that
may be causing problems. Based on your examination findings, X-rays or other types of diagnostic imaging
may be necessary. These images can help reveal pathologies, document the
history of your spinal health, and guide Dr. Pearson in creating a
care program based on your unique spinal condition. Today's high-tech equipment
and ultra-sensitive films help minimize your exposure.
Once the information is collected and
examinations are performed, Dr. Pearson will give you a detailed report of
all findings and answer any questions including:
- How
can you help me?
- How
often do I need to come in?
- What will my
treatment cost?
After reviewing your health
history, goals, and examining your spine and x-rays,
Dr. Pearson will discuss recommendations and notify you if your
condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Pearson will provide
the best treatment program for your needs.
When you consult this office you are entering into a
unique partnership. Your current health is the result of your habits, your
thoughts, your actions, and all the circumstances of your life. Little can be
done about the past, but we're here to help you with the future.
The key to improved quality of life is to learn as much as you can about the
nature of true health and follow your chiropractor's recommendations.
